TriBall Challenge is a 4-on-4 (-on-4) team sports tournament where all teams compete within contests in the sports of basketball, softball, and flag-football. TriBall Challenge contests are played by groups of 3 teams, which play each other in fast-paced games of half-court basketball, followed by modified “2-base” softball, and flag-football. TriBall Challenge games last 6 minutes and each team plays 2 games in each of the 3 sports per contest. TriBall Challenge games are played as two 3-minute sets of offensive possessions, which include a maximum of 12 possessions per team for basketball, 15 for softball, and 8 for flag-football, within the 3-minute time limit.

All teams play 2 preliminary round contests and compete against a minimum of 4 teams. The top 9 teams from each division advance to the semi-final round and 3 teams advance to the TriBall Challenge finals. Games are individually scored with each sport scored separately based on the results of the games within the sport. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place contest finishes are based on results of the 3 sports. TriBall Challenge games are self-officiated by the teams within each group. This is an adults only (18-and-over) tournament. Team rosters are limited to 6 players and coed rosters must have at least 2 women. TriBall Challenge divisions include Men’s Competitive (All-Stars), Men’s Recreational (Rookies), Men’s 35+ (Veterans), and Coed (Mixers).
